This is an extremely soothing and effective combination used for a dry, painful throat, spasmodic and unproductive cough, and respiratory congestion. These herbs have traditionally been used to help calm and quiet irritating, spasmodic coughs, while helping to promote expectoration. When taking this tincture, it is typical to experience one or two more good productive coughs followed by quiet relief. The little coughing that remains is productive, helping to clear lung congestion and keeping the fluids moving out. This is a very important factor, as many cough suppressants on the market stop coughing completely, which means that the fluids then collect in the lungs and can stagnate, sometimes becoming infected, which can lead to pneumonia. It's important to keep these fluids moving out of the lungs, and the Quiet Cough Tincture provides the perfect balance between expectoration and eliminating the unproductive and spasmodic cough. Needless to say, this is one of Herb Lore's most popular products. Kids love the non-alcohol version too!

Although Quiet Cough Tincture is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, the herb Mullein is an effective herb that can be used by those who are pregnant or nursing. Quiet Cough Tincture is also not for use by those with high blood pressure. Use for only two weeks at a time.

Ingredients:

Organic Elecampane Root, Mullein, Coltsfoot, Marshmallow Root, Thyme, Licorice Root and Lobelia with a little Rescue Remedy Flower Essence added for extra calming. The regular tincture is extracted in organic grape alcohol and the non-alcohol version is extracted in organic vegetable glycerine and distilled water. All Herb Lore tinctures are non-GMO and are gluten-free.

Suggested Use:

Adults: Use 1-2 droppersful (squeezes) 3-4 times daily. Children: Use the age-appropriate dose 3-4 times daily. See the Children's Dosage Guide under More Information for recommendations. The non-alcohol version is best for children.
